In this role you will:
Follow all New York Health policies and procedures.
Update and maintain all electronic patient records and assist in transitioning hard copy records to digital formatManage the Physician inbox and prioritize tasks assigned via the EMR systemPerform office callbacks to patients, physicians, and other healthcare facilitiesAssist in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed Clean and prepare examination rooms before patient appointmentsRecord patient information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history before each appointmentEscort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and document all information in the patient's chart and open wallboards for the patient to self-complete any outstanding documents neededRecord patient interview, history, and chief complaintProvide patient education concerning medications, management of diseases, home treatments, andspecial dietsPrepare patients for examinations, perform routine screening tests, and assist physicians with exams.
Perform basic lab tests such as phlebotomy, collection of other lab specimens, and EKGsPrepare and administer Injections and document medication under a physician's order, follows the five (5) medication rights, and reduces the potential for medical error.
We require:
Current NYS LPN license required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Previous experience in a lead role or demonstrated potential to act in a lead capacity.
Previous outpatient experience preferred Must demonstrate consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.
Proficiency in OncoEMR.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching.
Frequent exposure to chemicals, blood-borne pathogens, and patient bodily fluids.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Travel to any of the NYH locationsHours:
Monday-Friday Alt SaturdaysSalary up to $36 per hour commensurate with experience and education.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
